Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is an artificial marina created by bringing in waters from the Persian Gulf. The development consists of mostly residential and commercial properties. The Dubai Marina has one of the highest concentration of high rise buildings in Dubai. The picture perfect skyline of Dubai Marina is best viewed from the Palm Islands just across in the Persian Gulf.

You can very easily spend a day in this area, you can shop in the Dubai Marina mall, hire a private yatch and go into the Persian Gulf or go on a Dhow cruise. The Dubai Marina Ferry also starts in this area.

The Walk

You can also stroll the The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR). The JBR Walk as it is known as, is a stretch of approximately 1.5 kms offering wide range of shopping, dining and leisure activities with close proximity to the Jumeirah beach. The newly launched Dubai Tram starts at Jumeirah Beach Residences. It is a short walk from the Dubai Marina Mall.

How to Reach : Catch the Dubai Metro Red line to Dubai Marina station and then either walk for about 1 kms to reach the Dubai Marina Mall. Or hop on to the newly launched Dubai Tram.

Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah is the most famous landmark of Dubai. It is a set of artificial islands created in the shape of palm tree. The Island has one trunk and 16 leaves, surrounded by a crescent. Apart from residences, the Palm has number of hotels and resorts. To get some stunning views of the Dubai Skyline, visit the Zabeel Saray resort located on the left branch of the Palm Jumeirah.

The island is connected to the mainland by road and also by Palm Jumeirah Monorail which connects to the Atlantis hotel. The monorail cost is AED 15 oneway and AED 25 for return and the journey takes about 10mins and it operates from 10am to 10pm. The monorail is not directly connected to Dubai Metro but you can use the newly launched Dubai Tram to get to the Palm Gateway station.

Hotel Atlantis

Atlantis is the most prominent attraction on the Palm. The world famous resort features attractions like Aquaventure theme park, The Lost Chambers Aquarium and Dolphin bay. Aquaventure Dubai is a supposedly the number one water park in the Middle East. It is set in 42 acres and includes Master Blasters, speedslide, rivers, rapids, Splashers children’s play area, lush tropical landscapes and a private beach.

Guests staying at Atlantis have unlimited access to the water park. You can also interact with the Dolphins at the Dolphin bay and also experience The Lost Chambers aquarium. For more details, rates and bookings please visit their website
